Dr. Steven R. Adams has been in private practice in Asheville, NC since 1983. He was born in Ohio and grew up in Asheville. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He received his Doctorate Degree from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill in May of 1983. Dr. Adams is very passionate about Dentistry and attends numerous continuing education classes on a yearly basis to provide you with the latest quality care available. He is currently a board member and volunteer at the Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry Clinic. It is important to him to give back to the community. Dr. Adams and his wife Jeanie have three children, Lindsay, Brandon and Robert. His hobbies include camping, fly fishing, horseback riding, building and flying model airplanes.
Dr. Matt Ray is a native of Asheville, NC. In 1995, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Furman University. Dr. Ray came home to Asheville in 1999 following his graduation from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill, NC. While in school working towards his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, he co-authored two dental textbooks. Upon returning to Asheville, Dr. Ray began practicing at the Buncombe County Health Center, providing care to underprivileged children in Western North Carolina. In 2002, Dr. Ray joined Dr. Adams in private practive. Dr. Ray attends numerous continuing education courses annually in order to provide his patients with the latest technology that dentistry has to offer. Dr. Ray is a proud member of the following:
In his free time, Dr. Ray stays active with his wife, Dr. Millicent Ray, their daughter Gillian, son Derek and their chocolate lab, Ringo. Gourmet cooking, listening to music, and an appreciation of modern architecture and design are among the interests he shares with his family.
